Professional Learning Program for Educators

This is a program for supporting educators returning to the post-Covid workplace and helping them build trust and efficacy while reducing stress. I edited all parts of the program, working working with instructional designers and researchers to use language that was clear and appropriate for adult learners. I also wrote microcopy, entered, organized, and maintained content in the CMS, and created detailed product style and voice guides.

For context, the program included:

  • Four modules, each consisting of three units, which in turn each consisted of approximately six individual microlearnings that educators would complete on their own
  • Professional learning group meeting agendas for each unit so educators could process what they learned
  • Extensive onboarding and implementation instructions
  • Data-gathering surveys

Module Descriptions

I worked with instructional designers on the microcopy describing each of the modules. I wanted to get rid of the repeated “In this module . . . ” but lost that argument. Sometimes you compromise.

Kickoff Meeting

This is an introductory microlearning to the stress module. I edited all content and worked extensively with instructional designers and UX designers on the microcopy.

Leader Team Meeting

This is one of the leader team meetings held before program implementation to help admins understand the program before they had to explain it to the rest of the staff. I edited all content, ensuring questions were consistently worded throughout.

District Supports

Programs like this require a lot of work at the district level to ensure they’re implemented at the school level. I wrote the microcopy for these supports.
